Things You Missed - Fyre Festival
If you haven’t watched either of the Fyre Festival documentaries on Hulu and Netflix then you’re missing out on one of the most incredible cluster fucks. I’m poor and no longer have my ex’s password for her Hulu account, so I watched the Netflix version. As the documentary goes deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole of Fyre Festival and its mastermind Billy McFarland, it’s almost completely unbelievable that someone could be so incompetent. One of the least talked about moments in the documentary is how Billy McFarland claimed to have $25 million dollars tied up in Facebook stock, when in reality he had about $1,500. You know you’re an absolute chump when you claim to be a successful entrepreneur, but in reality the amount your stocks are worth is an amount of money that I myself, someone who claims they can’t afford Hulu, have held in my hands. What a fraud. Which means wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain (just clarifying incase Ja Rule is reading this.)
